What about GTA v?
We are still planning to launch a GTA V server if it's possible. If it will be mission themed we don't know

I'd consider using RageMP then, the UI is more or less similar to how SAMP works so it increases familiarity for existing players + its very stable compared to FiveM

Looks like that's indeed a better choice than Five M in terms of coding a GTA V server. The popularity of that mod isn't so great tho: ~6k and Five M had it's peak 17k

Somehow I'm much more sceptical about all of this than other people in this thread, yet the main reason of my scepticism isn't the merger itself, but this thing:

IRC or Discord?
We will plan to move to Discord completly, and stop using IRC. This needs some serious checking, but that's our goal.

Why ? I don't think there is any reason that makes IRC better than Discord, They're nearly the same just that Discord is like a more developed software / platform, so it's much better.

Well the reason is not in the Discord platform but what's in the Discord server itself, and from what I've got so far, it's an uncontrollable mess full of truly cancerous content which would make the experience absolutely insufferable.

Did you join discord already? Just give it a try if not. The only thing, in my opinion about discord, is that u can't leave channels. So in case u don't like a channel, just mute the hell out of it and hide it. Thanks to dowdaw the discord improved a lot already, but yeah, can't control the subjects what people talk about ...
