if you want to c-bug, go play on some pro dm server.
The server should be a fun server, not a sweat server.

Why ? I don't think there is any reason that makes IRC better than Discord, They're nearly the same just that Discord is like a more developed software / platform, so it's much better.

Well the reason is not in the Discord platform but what's in the Discord server itself, and from what I've got so far, it's an uncontrollable mess full of truly cancerous content which would make the experience absolutely insufferable.

I will try to answer all questions good, but as there is a lot that ain't decided yet, then some of them ain't the final answer.

What happens with accounts?
We will be trying to move them over. 

But what if you have an account on MG and **? Will your score from ** be counted to the your score in MG?

The idea is to merge the accounts by moving ** accounts over to MG, if it's possible. We don't know. Maybe we need to start from 0 as it's kind of a new project? More information will come about this.

14 admins in one server is little. We used to have 30 admins. Remember, all of the 14 admins won't be on at the same time, so it's not a big amount. It should be a lot higher.

A no restart server means there won't be a "server restart" at each game change. What you see in MG now is that when game is finished, then you see game stats, then it changes the game by doing a restart. We hope to remove that, and make new game load instantly.

What about GTA v?
We are still planning to launch a GTA V server if it's possible. If it will be mission themed we don't know

I'd consider using RageMP then, the UI is more or less similar to how SAMP works so it increases familiarity for existing players + its very stable compared to FiveM

Somehow I'm much more sceptical about all of this than other people in this thread, yet the main reason of my scepticism isn't the merger itself, but this thing:

IRC or Discord?
We will plan to move to Discord completly, and stop using IRC. This needs some serious checking, but that's our goal.

It's not decided yet, but the idea would be to seperate it from the EXP's Discord Server and use a own server like we do for MG echo now. This needs a lot of testing, as we don't know if it works. We experienced in MG that it gave issues and delays when there were too much messages. So, again, nothing is decicded about if we're gonna use IRC or Discord.
But I see myself that if there is a hacker on MG, and there are no admins online, and I'm on phone. Then I can simply open discord from phone, and easly check admin chats, and what the players says. IRC from phone is way harder and difficult to work with. So by using discord then I feel that I'm more connected to the server.

Everything will not be the same with this merger, thought this is inevitable.

If you do plan on a GTA Online server, there could be some tools or tutorials to learn how to create a mission somewhere, so good luck with that.

Yeah, we are in need with help with that GTA V server to get it up. But tutorials and tools are useful!

Scores will hopefully be merged. That's our goal.

Sounds good, but I want to mention some points:

-The score does not matter much in my opinion, since if we are going to start a new project it would be best to restore all the statistics!.
(Some may not like the idea "and I understand them", but I am the one with the highest score, and honestly I would not mind that)

-Although ** and MG are very similar they have a big difference and that difference is the 'C-BUG' If the use of the c-bug is prohibited in 'MG' the players will not agree, and if allowed the same will happen with '**' players.... A survey I don't think will solve anything: if we do those votes regardless of the result of that vote, some players will not agree, and more players will leave the server and we don't want that.

I mean that it is regardless of the survey some of the 2 servers will lose their essence with those results

Only difference in rules of MG & ** is the c-bug part. If we did a poll about it, then I know the result will be in favor to enable c-bug. So again, that will make people mad, and people will for sure not be happy with it.
So if we could keep c-bug disabled in ** missions by doing a msg in the start of the game by saying it's not allowed in this game, then that could work, at the same time as having the anti c-bug script that ** has.

Dark times in **. As I breathed ** for 11 years, it's really sadden me to see it shutting down.
And as happened in 2016, a lot of ** players left cuz of the idea of merging with MG or simply moving to MG community. Now the merge is inevitable.

If we could prevent it, then that would be the best. But there is no way to satisfy everyone now. When I bough ** then a lot of people though we would merge MG & ** in one server, so a lot of people left. But we never did that.

Agree there. It's way easier to connect to Discord than IRC. Discord is also way more developed and more modern. IRC services like mibbit and all that are bad. If it wasn't for mIRC, then I wouldn't use IRC.

It's the right decision to do about our playerbase count/average, as we ain't gonna see ** have to suffer more from inactivity. For this, it will bring us fresh motivation to be online.

On the other side, isn't that too "early" for the changes?

I hoped to see that ** would rise more during the summer, as summer is actually a time where the playercount is good. 
So the changes ain't early. It's been like this for 7 months already.

This idea of allowing c bug for mg missions and not allowing for ** missions ain't good IMHO. How will new players know it? It's an obvious mess of playing with cbug in one mission and not playing in the another.

got to agree with this, sorry, in my opinion its just not worth all of this work to just see the average increase by like 1 or 2 players

I think the same, I think that continue to get updates has an advantage on the server but the samp what? Honestly for some or most of the samp is dead ... and I don't know how the new players would take it when they join Mg
