Changes in this server

Dear players and administrators of Mini Games Server.

I am pleased to inform you that there will be some changes in the structure of this server. I have set these changes for the server.

San Andreas Multiplayer (sa-mp) is getting older for each day. With this, it is important to be modern and look into the future. Sa-mp is still a popularly game with over 35.000 players online all of the time.  This means, for us as a server to have administrators who do not play this game, do nothing to help to make this server. We do not need them. We need administrators, and especially a management team who are fresh, taking care of the interest of the server and the players. Now we do not have that. That is sad and confusing for the players. Players and administrators contacting me and notifying me about managers who does not do their job. I do not understand that, and I do not like it. I do not want that in my management team.

That is why I have done some changes today. Most people will like it, but also some will dislike it. I do respect that. However, me, as the server owner. The one who pays around 100 euro each month for this server to stay alive. Then I want a team who works for the server, who wants the best for the server, and actually do care about the server.

I am here now to present to you changes. Changes I am satisfied with and changes for the server. These changes are mostly regarding the management team. Also to the administrator team. Promotions and demotions. You may think that these changes will not affect you, but they will. By hiring a new and fresh management team, some old, some new, we can bring this server into the future. New tasks for each manager. Specific jobs for them to do. All to make this server better.

You may think and ask yourself. How do I have the rights to kick out the other server owner the other server co-owner? I gave myself that right. I pay for this server each day. I work on this server each day. 100 euro each month. 1200 euro each year. For how many years have, I hosted this server. I have hosted this server for 6 years. 6 years = 72 months. 72 months * 100 euro each month = 7200 euro. That is a lot of money. A lot of money that I have spent on a game. For you to play at, and enjoy. I would not do it if I did not believe in this server. My goal has always been to be in top 300 servers. In addition, we have reached that goal many times. The past year also. Of 4700 sa-mp servers, we have been in top 300. That is a good goal. We have had a good player base. I will not sit by and have managers in my team who do not want to work under me and do their job. I will not!

By doing some changes we can again start focusing on making this server good. We get a fresh management team, who believes in changes and believes in the good things. They believe in our server, that we can make it good. We can again focus on making new games, making the current games much better by upgrading them. We have over 150 games. We will never stop adding games. Even if we reach 300 games. That is awesome. The more games, the more fun is the game.

What else? If these changes do not happened then I do not see why I should keep running this server. I do not want to stop this server just because I cannot get the management team that I want. This server is 7 years old. We have been here since 2009. At least I have. I love this server, this family and all of my friends here. I got my own family. I am 21 years old, soon 22. I got two jobs. Therefore, when I am not here, then I need people who I can trust will do the job I would do if I were here. However, I cannot be here all of the time.

You have maybe understood it by reading above. Yes, both Zezima & Dimi are out of the management team. They are both founders of Mini Games Server v2, which is why they have a new group named “Founder”. This is a group, which got no access, but is there to show that they are founder of this server, and still mean a lot. I firing them does not make me happy. They are both good friends of me, and I will always hope that our friendship will remain. However, them staying in the management team, cannot last any longer. Both Zezima and Dimi have done a lot good for this server. However, for the past two years, their interest in this server has been falling down more and more. This is pretty obviously. They do not show interesting in the server, and do not seem to want to help bring this server back to what it used to be. That is why they are out of the management team. They will fit better with the honour rank “founder”.  None of them plays sa-mp anymore; none of them knows what is actually going on in the server. What do they actually do? Some of you do not know this, but I had to pay Dimi 50 euro for him to finish the current user control panel. He had it “almost finished” since over 1 year. I do not know how many times I told him to finish it. However, no. When I paid him, yes. That proves to me he do not want to be here anymore. His job was to do that. He had time, if he actually prioritized. I got 2 jobs, and a life. Do I still have time for mg? Yes! I priority my time. I do not always priority mini games server, but I often do.  

Another good person who is out of the management team is FireChicken. FireChicken joined the management team 8 months ago. We hired him because we needed help with the games. His job was to script games. Moreover, he was motivated, but not for long. This was going deep down. During his time as a manager, he has made eight games. This is excessively bad. This means one game for each month. While we expect five games minimum a month. Even I have made more games than he has during that time. Moreover, yes, there was plenty of games to make. I do not know how many times I have messaged him if he could make a game. He said yes, but I never heard more. This clearly shows me that he is not interested and that he has to leave. This is sad, as he was motivated in the start and I believed in him.

It should not be hard to make this server good. Just some interest and spending some hours to work on this server. Obviously, this is a free game for you to play. You are free to join and leave. It goes with the management team. You are doing a “free job”. I will not pay the management team. Why? Well the money we earn from donations they go directly to the server to pay for either hosted list. A total of 800 euro have we received in donations since 2012. Where is the profit and the leftovers? Nothing.  All of the 800 euros is used on the server. In addition, it is not as if we receive many donations. Especially not with this low player base. So where is the profit? There is no profit. If we had profit, I would gladly pay the management team and split it. Nevertheless, no, not when we sit again with profit then I will not pay any one. When a manager is hired, we never discuss money. It is clear that you will not receive payment for working in this management team. It is not a fulltime job. It is a “free job”. You work free, on your free time for this server. I know this is a lot to ask for. However, when you are hired, I expect you to do a job, not for the rank.
Let us now look into the future. Let us start making our players stay, and work our ass back to rank 300. We are currently at rank 500. It is possible to get back to 300. With some work.

Stefy is a new addition to our management team. She is fresh; she shows interest and actually cares about this server’s future. This is something I like, and this is something I want in my team. She will be the one who are in charge of the administrator team. She will supervise the administrators and the head administrators. She is the one who will setup these new changes to the head administrators.

Chanchito is also a new manager. Most of you do not know him well, but he has jumped high and fast. His new role is to be a games scripter. He will take over FireChickens job and work together with me and Tokkor to make the games better. I do believe in him, and I trust him. That is why he got this jump from being an administrator to a manager. We needed, I needed someone who got skills as a sa-mp scripter. Someone I can trust with the games. He is a person I can trust with it. Moreover, that is why we hired him. He will be a good addition for us.

I hope these changes in the management are good and that we now can look into a better server. However, these changes to the management team are not the only ones.
We are currently in the progress of editing the gameplay in our games. We believe these changes will make the gameplay much better. Especially for the new ones. They will now understand the objective of the game. This has been a seriously problem since 2009. Example, green players shooting the same team. Why? Because they do not know what to do. Therefore, they just shoot the player nearest them. This will be fixed in the next update.

Another problem we have had since ages is lag. Lag comes and goes. Especially with a high player count, we do have lag. In the races, we are now editing the car spawns. Instead of having 50 vehicles, and only 10 players online. That means there are over 40 cars just standing there. That is useless and gives lag, especially on the start of the race. This we are going to fix. Better gameplay for you!

Hackers is always a problem. We are always working on hiring new administrators. Therefore, we have enough to protect the players always. However, it is not easy.  We cannot force any one to play. They do have a life also. That is why our goal has always been to have at least 30 administrators (management team not counting). This is not easy, as there is not always easy to find people who can administrate this server. However, we will always work on hire new administrators. In September, we will be starting to update our anti cheat. We need a good anti cheat, and this is something we can make. However, we also need good and active administrators. However, it is not easy. Therefore, we have now set a new rule that applies to all administrators.
Inactive for 1 month without notification = instant demotion.
Inactive for 2 weeks (moderator) without notification = instant demotion.
Moderators got a stricter rule. They are on a trial as a moderator. When they are out of the trial, they are promoted to an administrator. That is why the rules are stricter for them. Obviously, we cannot force them to play and be active. However, if we can make this server better, they might get more interest in playing.

Head Administrators also got a new role. They will supervise the administrator team more. They will teach the new ones, and help the administrators. They are also in charge of the moderators. The head administrators will now lead the moderators. From the start to the end of the trial. They will tell us when they are ready to step out of the trial. Going from a moderator to an administrator gives you more power. It makes you more powerful and you got more responsibility. That’s why it’s important that this process is done correctly.

It's not 7200 Euros because you never paid 100 Euros while server was on Volt-Host. I told you few times a lot cheaper way of hosting with little investment but you didn't want to do it. Our friendship will remain outside MG, that's for sure. I only have to refer to you saying you had to pay me 50 euros to finish UCP. It wasn't my job as you said. Complete story is a bit different. I started making that UCP in March 2013 for me to practice HTML, CSS and PHP. You didn't even know about it until I told you like month and a half later. Slowly everything started to push in and I didn't have time to work on UCP. Additionally, due to all my obligations etc. I left MG in October 2013. I then allowed you to work on my UCP and I have to remind you that you didn't finish it when I returned in June last year. That's 8/9 months. I took it again and did some small changes but then September came. Why was September 2014 so special? Well I became water-polo coach in September 2013 and was volunteering for one season. I became full-fledged coach and that's means a lot of paperwork, plans, trainings, etc. Additionally I started doing Internet marketing for some companies: Website, Facebook, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Website SEO, Google Map registering, making posters and everything that has anything to do with Marketing, Computers and Internet. Plus I started going to University in October 2014. Now If I have something that I get paid for to do and which "opens me a lot of doors" in future life, since I work with some Goverment companies, where should I put more attention. If I remember correctly you made post in Management team's Chat topic that went something like this: "Ok Dimi final offer. I'll pay you 50 euros if you can finish UCP till February." I said deal because that would bring me money. And I finished it. I have to point out that you didn't know I work for money. I never asked you for money in order to finish UCP. Things you don't know is that I optimized your Website a lot and you don't even know about that. You didn't even have Site map. Use of facebook is useless in way we use it. I was preparing all that and to make it worth but when i asked for meeting it got delayed, I got busy and you fired us. Advice for the end: Marketing of this server is equal to 0. If you don't have marketing you won't survive. Start reading about Facebook Ads, Website SEO, metadata etc. It will help you.

Remember, before I paid for a webhost which cost more, more than 1 server and more stuff. The final amount is not far away from 7000 euro.
Also, marketing for an online sa-mp server? Thats not needed. I do understand if we're an online company, like selling stuff, then marketing is alfa omega to survive. But when we're an online game thats not needed. Like if we use Facebook Ads, for what purpose? It wont get us more people to sa-mp.
And our current facebook page is maybe useless. It's not like we use it alot, just sometimes..

Life is more important than a game. I understand that, and I never asked you to stay here like a fulltime job. It's a free job and a job you dont earn money from. So earning money in real life is important. Much more important than being here.

And about the ucp. Before I offered you the 50 euro, I did ask you like 2/3 times before if you could finish it. You said yes all of the times. And I didnt want to wait any more, so I offered you 50 euro to get it done.
